It’s Mud Sale Time!
If you’ve lived in Lancaster County through a springtime, you’ve undoubtedly encountered the phenomenon dubbed “mud sale”. If it’s mud sale time, the winter is on it’s way out to be sure.
Usually connected to the local fire hall, a mud sale is a super auction/yard sale/craft sale/CHICKEN CORN SOUP sale that provides proceeds to the fire hall it is affiliated with, and easy access to needed items for the local farmers. These Amish auctions are aptly named, as the thawing ground often provides a gooey, sloppy mess for its visitors.
Denver, Honey Brook, Terre Hill, Bird-in-hand, Quarryville, Refton, Intercourse, Leola, Kinzers, Gordonville, Strasburg, and Cochranville are still ahead in the lineup. For more information see the 2014 Mud Sale schedule at:
(And if you bring that mud home with you, remember, Heaven’s Best is here to help you make those floors clean and bright again!)
